David Matyas is an Assistant Professor at UNB's Faculty of Law, specializing in humanitarian law and disaster response frameworks. His research examines legal barriers to humanitarian access and disaster resilience mechanisms, informed by field experience in Niger and Senegal. Current work focuses on crisis governance in armed conflicts.
Research focus: Legal interfaces between humanitarian action, state sovereignty, and disaster risk reduction.
