David Marshall is a Research Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder and a Member of the National Academy of Engineering. He holds adjunct roles at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has extensive industry experience with Teledyne Scientific and Rockwell International. His research focuses on high-temperature structural materials, ceramic composites, and advanced material characterization techniques. Marshall has pioneered work in oxide-oxide composites, thermal barrier coatings, and morphing ceramic components for aerospace applications.
