David Magolis

David Magolis is a Professor in the Department of Communication Studies, Media and Journalism at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, serving as Advisor for WHSK (BU Student Radio) overseeing programming and personnel. His role bridges academic instruction with practical student media leadership.

His research specialization centers on media literacy education, where he developed the Emergent Media in Mass Communications major/minor program. Key interests include multimedia communications, digital privacy frameworks, and emerging media technologies' societal impact, reflecting his commitment to critical media engagement in educational contexts.

Dr. Magolis received recognition through the Kerby Confer Faculty Fellowship for Communications and the 2017 Outstanding Volunteer award from the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE), where he also serves on the Leadership Council.
