David M. Zimov, Ph.D., is an Adjunct Professor of International Relations at the University of Cincinnati. He served as a Senior Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State from 1997 to 2019, holding roles including U.S. Consul General in Mexico, Coordinator for Counterterrorism for Africa, and multiple diplomatic postings across Latin America and Europe. He currently advises governments, corporations, and individuals on international affairs.
- Education: B.Sc. in Finance (University of Cincinnati), M.A. (University of Alabama), Ph.D. in Political Science (London School of Economics and Political Science).
- Languages: Spanish and Italian.
His professional experience includes counterterrorism coordination, economic diplomacy, and policy planning. He has received numerous Superior Honor Awards and other recognitions from U.S. and foreign governments for his service. Beyond academia, he consults in international security and lectures at military academies and war colleges.
