Dr. David M. Scott is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Philosophy Program at Coppin State University, Baltimore, MD. He holds dual Ph.D.s in English Literature (University of Virginia) and Philosophy (University of Memphis, specializing in French and German continental philosophy). His research bridges phenomenology (Husserl, Heidegger, Levinas), post-structuralism (Deleuze, Foucault), and socio-political theory, with emphases on race, postcolonial thought, and the American Black Radical Tradition. Current projects include intersections of Black Studies/Critical Theory/activism and reimagining theologico-political frameworks through Spinoza and Critical Theory.
