David Lublin is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Government at American University's School of Public Affairs. He holds a PhD from Harvard University and a BA from Yale University, Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Lublin serves as Treasurer of the American Political Science Association and Co-Chair of APSA's Task Force on Election Assistance.

His research focuses on minority representation, electoral systems, redistricting, and ethnic conflict. He has written extensively on racial gerrymandering, voting rights litigation, and the impact of electoral reforms. Recent publications analyze Alaska's electoral reforms, ethnic party dynamics in developing democracies, and minority electoral success in non-majority districts. His work includes empirical studies on Asian American representation and ethnoregional party systems.
