David Lampert is an Associate Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the Armour College of Engineering, Illinois Institute of Technology. His work bridges water quality modeling, contaminated site remediation, and Python programming for environmental systems. With expertise in wastewater treatment and life cycle assessment, he focuses on sustainable food-energy-water systems and PFAS contamination research.
- Ph.D., University of Texas at Austin (2010)
- M.S.E., University of Texas at Austin (2003)
- B.S., Oklahoma State University (2001)
His research spans computational modeling for contaminant transport, passive sampling devices for PFAS monitoring, and unmanned systems for reservoir surveillance. Projects include produced water treatment from Oklahoma and Texas, stormwater equity policy in Chicago, and biofuel production water consumption analysis.
