David L. Waldman

David L. Waldman, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor of Imaging Sciences and Chief Medical IT Development Officer at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). He has been a faculty member since 1994 and served as Chair of the Department of Imaging Sciences since 2003, overseeing significant departmental growth and research expansion.

His research focuses on interventional radiology, vascular imaging, and minimally invasive procedures for transplant recipients. Key areas include TIPS placement, liver biopsy complications, and dialysis access interventions. His work also explores imaging information technology integration.
