David L. Andrews is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Maryland, affiliated with the School of Public Health. His research critically examines physical culture through interdisciplinary lenses including cultural studies, assemblage theory, and Frankfurt School critiques. He focuses on sport, fitness, and neoliberalism's societal impacts. His recent works analyze sport's politicization in Trump-era America and pandemic-era transformations.
