David L Page is a Doctoral Candidate at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Faculty of Creative Industries, where he is developing a thesis titled "Music & Sounds which resonate within... Contemporary creative practice: music & sound-making, meaning-making". With over 20 years of experience in post-compulsory education and the arts, David has taught and conducted research across Japan, India, Fiji, the US, and New Zealand. He has delivered modules such as AUD115 Production I at SAE Institute Brisbane, focusing on project-based learning and generational pedagogy.
His research and teaching are deeply rooted in reflective and reflexive practice, auto-ethnography, phenomenology, and practice-led research. He explores how music and sound function as meaning-making tools within creative and educational contexts, emphasizing embodied practice, digital and analogue technologies, and holistic learning models.
David has authored numerous presentations and blog posts on creative arts education, curriculum design, and student engagement strategies, particularly for Generations X and Y. His work integrates music production, soundscapes, electroacoustic art, and DIY music practices into educational frameworks that foster authentic learning and creative agency.
