David Korostyshevsky

David Korostyshevsky is an Instructor in the Department of History at Colorado State University (CSU), part of the College of Liberal Arts. His academic work focuses on the History of Science, Technology, and Medicine, Legal History, and Alcohol/Drugs/Addiction Studies. He holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota and MA from the University of New Mexico.

His research examines biopolitical concepts like habitual drunkenness, mental capacity, and risk as shapers of modern personhood. He emphasizes accessibility in teaching through writing, self-reflection, and collaborative learning, prioritizing diversity and inclusion. He received the 2023-2024 Excellence in Teaching Award for his innovative pedagogy.
