David Kelley is the Donald W. Whittier Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. He is a co-founder of IDEO and a leading advocate of Design Thinking, a methodology emphasizing empathy, prototyping, and storytelling to foster creativity. He teaches courses on engineering design, prototyping, and human-centered design through Stanford's Product Design Program and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school).
