David Kahn is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Architecture, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, located in Troy, NY. He specializes in architectural acoustics, with over four decades of experience (since 1983) in designing sonic environments for performing arts centers, theaters, museums, libraries, educational institutions, offices, broadcast facilities, and recreational spaces. His work integrates room acoustics, sound isolation, noise/vibration control, and AV systems into architectural design, spanning from pre-design planning to detailed commissioning.
