David (Dave) Jones is a Professor of Practice and Jerome Fox Chair in Accounting, Taxation, and Financial Strategy at Temple University's Fox School of Business and Management. He holds a Doctor Management degree from Case Western Reserve University and has extensive industry experience as a tax partner at Ernst & Young, LLP, where he served as Global CEO of Global Mobility Services until retirement in 2006. Prior to Temple, he taught at Slippery Rock University and Case Western Reserve University.
His research focuses on practitioner-oriented tax topics, including real estate tax, tax compliance challenges, and behavioral trends in tax professionals. He actively advises accounting student organizations and oversees AACSB International accreditation efforts for the department.
Recent publications emphasize real estate taxation (e.g., debt cancellation implications, conservation easements), tax education reform, and evolving tax policies related to remote work and corporate deductions. His work bridges academic research with practical tax practice, informed by decades of industry leadership.
