David J. Brown is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Kansas' William Allen White School of Journalism. Previously, he served as a research attorney for the Kansas Court of Appeals and Chief Judge Mary Beck Briscoe until 1992. He founded The Law Office of David J. Brown LC in Lawrence, specializing in family law, privacy, and ethics. His teaching includes an LGBTQ Seminar at KU's Journalism School.
