David J. Berge

David J. Berge is an Adjunct Professor of Finance at The Citadel's Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business, where he also serves as Department Head. With over 30 years of financial services experience, he specialized in corporate credit ratings at Moody’s Ratings for 20+ years, leading global teams in sector outlooks, rating methodologies, and ESG scoring initiatives. His expertise spans manufacturing, aerospace/defense, transportation/logistics, and business/consumer services sectors. Berge holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.S. from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
