David J Allison

David J Allison serves as Alumni Distinguished Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in Architecture + Health at Clemson University's College of Architecture, Art and Construction within the Richard A. McMahan School of Architecture. Holding this directorship since 1990, he leads a nationally recognized program celebrated for design excellence in healthcare architecture and healthy community planning.

His educational credentials include a B.S. and M.Arch. from Clemson University.

Professor Allison's research pioneers the integration of healthy community planning with healthcare environments design, emphasizing evidence-based design prototyping and scholarly innovation. His work bridges academic rigor with practical applications to transform healthcare facility design and community wellness initiatives through architectural solutions.
