Dr. David Hutchison is a cross-appointed Professor at Brock University, holding roles in the Department of Educational Studies (Faculty of Education) and the Department of Digital Humanities (Faculty of Humanities). He serves as Chair of the Department of Educational Studies and Director of the GAME Program. With a PhD in Education from the University of Toronto and a BEd from Queen’s University, his expertise spans education policy, project management, and music composition. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a Music Theory Certificate from Berklee College of Music.

His research focuses on K-12 educational policy, pandemic planning, project-based learning, and the application of project management principles in education. Dr. Hutchison’s publications frequently address contemporary educational challenges, including pandemic-era school reopenings and the integration of project management methodologies into pedagogy. His recent articles highlight critical analyses of policy decisions and evidence-based recommendations for crisis management in education.
