David Hoffman is the William A. Schnader Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. His research focuses on contract law, combining interdisciplinary approaches with empirical evidence. He previously taught at Temple Law School (2005–2017) and practiced at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. Hoffman holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA in Archaeology and History from Yale University.
