Dr David Hockham serves as Associate Head of School - Student Success at the University of Greenwich's School of Stage and Screen within the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences. His work bridges professional theatre production and academic leadership, with notable roles in Dead Rabbits Theatre's touring productions and the Bathway Theatre Company. He holds a PhD in Education from the Institute of Education (2022), focusing on vocational pedagogy in technical theatre.
David's professional career spans over 15 years in theatre production, including roles with Red Shift, Chung Ying Theatre, and Guildford's international music festival. Academically, he teaches technical theatre, digital performance, and production management across bachelor's and master's programs. His community engagement initiatives include the EU-funded Open European Societies project (2018-2021) and the 'What About Us' program empowering local voices.
