Dr. David Hobart is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Lynchburg, affiliated with the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences. He joined the university in 2022 and holds a PhD and BS in Chemistry from Virginia Tech. His research focuses on analytical characterization of new molecules, synthesis of organometallic compounds for catalytic and medical applications, and forensic chemistry. He teaches courses including Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry of Life, and Chemistry Senior Project.
