David Hausman is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Berkeley Law School. His research focuses on empirical legal studies, particularly U.S. immigration enforcement, using government data obtained through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) disclosures.
He directs the Deportation Data Project and has practiced law at the ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project in New York City. His academic work intersects law, political science, and public policy.
