David Harrison

David Harrison is an Honorary Professor at Brunel University London's College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences, affiliated with the Brunel Design School. He holds a BSc in Engineering Science (Exeter University) and PhD in Robotics (Portsmouth Polytechnic). Previously, he held positions at BBC Research (1984-1989), University of Portsmouth (1990-1994), and Brunel (since 1994), advancing from Lecturer to Professor.

His research focuses on Sustainable Design, Renewable Energy Integration, and Emerging Manufacturing Technologies, with emphasis on printed electronics, 3D-printed energy storage, and sustainable product-service systems. He founded the Cleaner Electronics Research Group and leads projects like EPSRC's 'Inclusive Immersion' and EU 'Powerweave'.

Recent publications (2016-2017) reveal strong emphasis on 3D-printed energy storage solutions, sustainable systems design, and human-centered eco-innovation. Trends include material innovation for wearable electronics and methodologies for sustainable business transformation.
