David Hala is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marine Biology at Texas A&M University at Galveston. His research focuses on understanding how environmental and anthropogenic stressors impact organism fitness, particularly through metabolic and endocrine systems in fish, reptiles, and mammals. He employs advanced techniques like mass spectrometry, computational biology, and systems toxicology to address questions about biological resilience and multi-level biological integration. Hala's work emphasizes translational research linking molecular perturbations to ecological outcomes.
