David H. Schneller

David Schneller is Professor of Art History and Archaeology at UCLA, specializing in ancient Greek and West Asian material culture. His current book project examines artistic exchange through portable votive objects across Mediterranean sanctuaries. Research has received support from Metropolitan Museum of Art and Onassis Foundation.

Fieldwork includes excavations at Sanctuary of Poseidon (Onchestos, Greece). Prior appointments include Columbia University and SUNY New Paltz. Education includes PhD from Columbia University (2021).
