David Gent is a researcher at Oregon State University with a courtesy appointment in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology. He leads research focused on plant pathology, particularly downy mildew, powdery mildew, and Fusarium diseases in hop and hemp crops. His work integrates field, lab, and computational approaches to address both basic and applied questions, collaborating closely with USDA-ARS hop genetics and breeding programs.
