Dr. David Frazer Lewis is an Associate Professor of Architectural History and Cultural Heritage at the Department for Continuing Education, University of Oxford. He is also a Fellow of Kellogg College and Director of Studies for Architectural History. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Notre Dame School of Architecture and held postdoctoral positions at the Yale Center for British Art.

His research centers on modern British and American architecture (1880-1940), sacred architecture, and the Gothic Revival. Recent works include a book on AWN Pugin, studies on Gothic Revival in the US, and analyses of 20th-century British architects like Giles Gilbert Scott. His publications explore intersections of historic conservation, eclectic design, and architectural theory.
Current supervision areas include Edwardian ocean liner interiors and Philip Webb's architecture. He has professional experience in historic conservation with architecture firms in San Francisco and London.
