David Evrard

David Evrard is a Professor and Director of the Master Sculpture Studio at ERG (École de Recherche Graphique). As an established artist and academic, he co-directs the annual magazine Year and publication Misssouri. His artistic practice spans solo exhibitions at prestigious venues including BOZAR Brussels, BPS22 Charleroi, and Rencontres de la Photographie in Arles, alongside international group exhibitions.

His research explores interdisciplinary art with emphases on:

• Sculptural practice and material experimentation
• Collaborative art pedagogy bridging education and creation
• Cross-cultural projects (e.g., Foutah desert initiative in Senegal)
• Art publications as critical discourse platforms

Notably, he integrates students into large-scale projects like the magma series in France (2021) and the opera Death is All You Need (2019).

Evrard’s publications demonstrate consistent focus on art pedagogy and collaborative methodologies, with recent books analyzing intersections of education, mythology, and artistic expression. He leads international collaborations through ERG’s Master Sculpture Studio, most recently exhibiting supersols in Brussels from work developed in Senegal.
