David Enoch is a Professor at Hebrew University, holding the Rodney Blackman Chair in the Philosophy of Law. He works jointly in the Faculty of Law and the Philosophy Department, with research interests spanning Moral, Political, and Legal Philosophy within the analytic tradition. He is also co-director of the Center for Moral and Political Philosophy.
- Education: Tel Aviv University (undergraduate), New York University (PhD in Philosophy).
Research Focus: In metaethics, Enoch defends robust moral realism. In political philosophy, he critiques Rawlsian liberalism and advocates for a comprehensive liberalism centered on autonomy and related ethical dilemmas. His legal philosophy work challenges standard legal positivism and explores moral/legal luck and statistical evidence in law.
