David Eisenman

David Eisenman, MD, MSHS, is an Associate Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine and the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, with a joint appointment directing the Center for Public Health and Disasters. He also serves as an Associate Natural Scientist at RAND Corporation and Deputy Director for Community Partnerships at UCLA’s Center for Healthy Climate Solutions. Dr. Eisenman’s work focuses on disaster resilience, climate change impacts, trauma mental health, and public health preparedness, with a particular emphasis on vulnerable populations. He leads the Los Angeles County Community Disaster Resilience Project (LACCDR), a county-wide initiative enhancing community-level resilience to disasters, and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and major reports.
