David Edward Tabachnick is Professor of Political Science at Nipissing University, specializing in the application of ancient political philosophy to contemporary ethical and political challenges with emphasis on technology, democracy, and redefined work-leisure paradigms.

Tabachnick authored The Great Reversal: How We Let Technology Take Control of the Planet (2013), The Leisure Ethic: The End of Work and the Return to Virtue, and is founding editor of the Ancient Lessons for Global Politics book series, currently developing Defending Democracy: Ancient Lessons for Global Politics.
