David E Scarborough

Dr. David E. Scarborough is an Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Auburn University. His research focuses on combustion dynamics, rocket propulsion systems, and plume-surface interactions relevant to space exploration.

Current investigations include crater formation during spacecraft landings, compressible jet interactions with planetary surfaces, and combustion instabilities in propulsion systems. His experimental work utilizes drop towers, cold flow facilities, and advanced diagnostics to study these phenomena.
