David DeVito

David DeVito serves as a Lecturer of Accounting at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles, joining the faculty after retiring as Global Chief Operating Officer of TCW Group Inc where he managed over $260 billion in assets during his 30-year tenure.

His academic foundation includes:

• BA in Business Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles (1984)
• California Certified Public Accountant licensure

Mr. DeVito's expertise spans complex accounting transactions, financial operations, corporate governance, and asset management, informed by executive roles as Global CFO, Global Chief Administrative Officer, and board membership at TCW. His teaching integrates real-world experience from leading mutual funds, managing enterprise risk committees, and executing mergers and acquisitions.

He remains actively engaged with civic and charitable organizations as a Board Member and Investment/Finance Committee Chair, while maintaining equity investments in U.S. agricultural ranches, real estate, and early-stage ventures. Mr. DeVito also contributes as a guest speaker at industry conferences on investment and accounting topics.
