David Comerford is a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Strathclyde, specializing in climate change economics and international economics. His research focuses on the intersection of climate policy and global economic integration. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Edinburgh (2013), preceded by degrees in Mathematics and Physics. Comerford teaches undergraduate Macroeconomics and masters-level courses in International Macroeconomics and Climate Change Policy.
His research explores long-term policy impacts, with recent projects funded by the Leverhulme Trust examining carbon leakage and trade policy. He actively engages with policymakers and media on economic issues.
