David Colomer Bea

David Colomer Bea is a Professor at the Faculty of Law, Universitat de València, specializing in Criminal Law. He is affiliated with the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Science (ICCP) and leads the DERPEligro Research Group on Dangerousness and Criminal Law.

His research focuses on public order, terrorism, preventive justice, and fundamental rights. He has published extensively on topics like penal reform, crisis legislation, and radicalization prevention. His recent works include analyses of terrorist individualism, religious identity, and penal sanctions during health crises.

He has co-authored books such as Derecho penal preventivo, orden público y seguridad ciudadana (2019) and authored El tratamiento penal de los desórdenes públicos (2021). Supervised by Dr. Alberto Alonso Rimo and Dr. Enrique Orts Berenguer, his research integrates interdisciplinary perspectives (legal, constitutional, historical) to critique overcriminalization trends.
