David Caudill is the Arthur M Goldberg Family Chair in Law at Villanova University's School of Law, where he teaches courses on evidence, legal ethics, property law, and sports law. He also holds the position of Senior Fellow at the Melbourne Law School, University of Melbourne. Prior to Villnova, he taught at Washington and Lee University and practiced law in California and Texas, notably representing Tony Dorsett, a Dallas Cowboys star football player.
His research focuses on legal ethics, including ethical dilemmas in celebrity representation, and sports law. He serves as the academic advisor to the Moorad Center for the Study of Sports Law at Villanova and has contributed to numerous articles in legal ethics. He previously chaired the Sports Law section of the American Association of Law Schools.
In addition to teaching, David Caudill advises the Moorad Center for the Study of Sports Law and has led the Sports Law section of the American Association of Law Schools. His work bridges legal education and practical application, particularly in high-profile cases involving sports and celebrity law.
He is actively involved with the Moorad Center for the Study of Sports Law at Villanova University, contributing to research and education in sports legal issues.
