David Buetti is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Health Management, Evaluation, and Policy within the School of Public Health at Université de Montréal. He specializes in health program evaluation, with a focus on innovative methodologies, organizational evaluation capacity, and the application of artificial intelligence in evaluation frameworks. He leads the AnÉis and AnÉSOSS graduate programs in health systems evaluation. His research addresses three core areas: documenting emerging evaluation methods, assessing sector-specific evaluation capacities (e.g., aging populations, LGBTQ+ health), and strengthening evaluation structures using AI considerations.
Education: PhD in Population Health and Master’s in Social Work from the University of Ottawa. He has collaborated on over 10 evaluation projects with municipal, provincial, federal, and community stakeholders, strengthening evaluation practices in over 20 organizations. His work includes a special journal issue on community evaluation and an open-access French textbook on evaluation. He teaches courses in community practice, evaluation practicums, and advanced health systems analysis.
Notable grants include projects on food security initiatives (2024–2027), smoking cessation in hospitals (2025–2026), and economic support for fruit/vegetable purchases (2024–2025).
