David Brandman

David Brandman, MD, PhD serves as Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, with dual affiliation at the UC Davis Center for Neuroengineering and UC Davis Medicine. His academic appointment resides within the Department of Neurological Surgery.

His research program focuses on neuroengineering and neuroprosthetics, specializing in neural interface development and biomedical engineering solutions for neurological disorders. This work bridges surgical neuroscience with engineering innovation to address unmet clinical needs in neurosurgery.

As an active member of the UC Davis Center for Neuroengineering, Dr. Brandman collaborates across disciplines to advance neuroprosthetic technologies through translational research.
