David Bennett is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine. He directs the Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) program at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and practices at The Caring Together Program. His research focuses on child/adolescent psychology, adjustment to chronic health conditions, and the impact of screen time on neurodevelopmental outcomes. Notable studies include links between early screen exposure and autism-like symptoms, as well as stigma around opioid use disorder treatment among women. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and received grants such as the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s CURE grant. His work bridges clinical practice and research, emphasizing evidence-based interventions for vulnerable populations.
