David Bailey is a Lecturer in Portuguese Cultural Studies at the University of Manchester's Department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies. He holds a B.A. and M.Phil from the University of Cambridge, where he specialized in Lusophone literature, followed by a Ph.D. on Naturalist literature in Portuguese contexts. His research explores intersections of postcolonial studies, queer theory, and urban transformation.
