David Appelhaus

David Appelhaus is a Researcher at the Institute for Chemical and Thermal Process Engineering, affiliated with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Technische Universität Braunschweig. He holds a Master’s degree in Biochemical and Chemical Engineering (2017–2020) and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemical, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering (2014–2017) from the same university. His research focuses on chemical process engineering, thermal systems, and the application of machine learning to industrial processes, including projects on wiped-film evaporators and cyberphysical wastewater treatment concepts. He has published two peer-reviewed articles on these topics and contributed to oral and poster presentations at international conferences. Appelhaus has served as a tutor for courses such as Chemical Process Engineering and Digital Technologies in Chemical Engineering.
