David Anthony Young serves as a Senior Lecturer in the General Education Unit of the College of Arts and Sciences at Khalifa University (KU) in the UAE, teaching Academic English I (ENGL101) and II (ENGL102) since joining the Academic Bridge Program in 2015 after the Petroleum Institute's integration into KU.

His community development work in Zambia and Scandinavia informs his interdisciplinary approach to language education and sustainable practices.

Young actively contributes to KU's academic community as a former AIM Coordinator for the Academic Bridge Program (2016-2018), where he supported female students on Sas Al Nakhl Campus. He developed pedagogy workshops at the Center for Excellence in Learning & Teaching (CELT) and created the 2019 workshop series 'Expanding Your Horizons' for the Community Service Unit, focusing on employability and portfolio development.
