David Achtzehn

Dr David Achtzehn is an Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the Haydn Green Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (HGI), part of the Nottingham University Business School. He joined HGI in September 2018 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to his current role.

• Previous roles: Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Management at Bangkok University School of Entrepreneurship and Management (5 years), and position at Goldman Sachs in Zurich (1 year).
• Key responsibilities: Departmental Teaching Director at HGI, module convenor for New Venture Creation (UG), Sales Management and Negotiations, Venture Capital and Private Equity, and MSc Business Plans.

Research Focus: Employment relations in high-growth start-ups, entrepreneurship education in secondary and higher education, physiological contracts in entrepreneurial environments.

Leadership & Professional Engagement: Chaired the Women Entrepreneurship Conference Bangkok (2 editions), co-chaired the 2018 Diana Conference and Thailand Challenge Cup business plan competition. Holds a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
