David A. Lake is a Professor of Political Science and Distinguished Professor of the Graduate Division at the University of California, San Diego. He holds the Jerri-Ann and Gary E. Jacobs Chair in Social Sciences. His academic roles include former Chair of the Political Science Department (2000-2004), Associate Dean (2006-2011), and Acting Dean of Social Sciences (2011-2012).
