Dave Thomas

Dave Thomas is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at New Mexico Tech, where he teaches and engages in research and public outreach. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Physics and a master's degree in Mathematics from the same institution. His work focuses on debunking pseudoscientific claims, including climate change denial, creationism, and conspiracy theories, while promoting critical thinking and science education.

He has received prestigious honors such as the Brown Award (New Mexico Tech's highest undergraduate award), the Langmuir Award for significant publications, and the Friend of Darwin Award from the National Center for Science Education. Thomas has served as president of the New Mexico Academy of Science and the Coalition for Excellence in Science and Math Education (CESE).
