Daniel Cadol is an Associate Professor in Earth and Environmental Science at New Mexico Tech, researching ecohydrology, sediment transport, and wildfire impacts. He teaches courses including Hydrologic Theory, Watershed Dynamics, and Hillslope Processes.
Research focuses on vegetation-hydrology feedbacks, ephemeral channel dynamics, and post-wildfire debris flows. Field-intensive projects employ seismic monitoring, flume experiments, and remote sensing to quantify bedload flux and flash flood behavior in arid regions.
Current NSF-funded work advances seismic bedload monitoring techniques. Collaborates with the Hantush-Deju National Center for Hydrological Innovation to address water security challenges.
