Daryl Williams

Professor Daryl Williams is Professor of Particle Science in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London. His research focuses on particulate materials and their surfaces, with applications in pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, environmental adsorbents, and antimicrobial materials. Key areas include protein aggregation, peptide purification, CO₂/SO₂ capture technologies, and nano-engineered sponges for pollutant removal.

Research interests span adsorption physics, powder flow mechanics, chromatographic separation fundamentals, and therapeutic stabilization processes. His group pioneers gravimetric characterization methods and inverse chromatographic techniques for material analysis.

Leads the Surfaces and Particle Engineering Laboratory with advanced capabilities in surface energy mapping and water sorption characterization.
