معرفی
Daryl K. Eggers is a Professor of Chemistry at San José State University. His research focuses on bioencapsulation of proteins, solvation effects in biological systems, and the thermodynamic analysis of binding equilibria. He leads the Eggers Research Lab, exploring molecular interactions in confined environments and drug design for viral therapies.
Education: PhD in Chemistry from University of California, San Francisco (1997); MS from UC Berkeley (1987); BS from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (1981).
Professional History: Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UCLA (1997-2002), industry roles at Syntex Research and M.W. Kellogg Company, and prior academic positions at SJSU since 2008.
Research emphasizes protein stability in silica matrices, desolvation energy models, and supramolecular chemistry. His work has been published in top journals, with notable contributions to HIV and SARS-CoV-2 therapeutic research through sulfoglycodendrimer synthesis.
