Darsa Donelan is a Senior Continuing Assistant Professor in Physics and Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies at Gustavus Adolphus College. They hold a Ph.D. in Physics (2016) and M.S. in Physics (2011) from the University of Florida, alongside a B.S. in Physics and B.A. in Mathematics from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (2009), and an A.A. in Fine Arts from Berkshire Community College (2006).

Their research focuses on planetary atmospheres, radio astronomy, and physics education. Recent work includes expanding the NASA Radio JOVE project with a square antenna array for machine learning-driven magnetic storm classification and exomoon detection. They integrate Indigenous perspectives into astronomical infrastructure by honoring the Dakota people through celestial imagery, mounds, wildflower plantings, and an artistic electronics shelter.
Dr. Donelan has received multiple teaching and diversity awards, including the Swenson-Bunn Memorial Award (2022), Mark H. Anderson Faculty Diversity Award (2021, 2022), and the 2023 AAPT Doc Brown Futures Award. They lead NASA's Heliophysics Education Activation Team (HEAT) and serve as Early Career Representative on AAPT's Board of Directors.
