Darryl Shibata

Dr. Darryl Shibata is a Professor of Pathology and Vice Chair of Academic Affairs in the Department of Pathology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He holds clinical appointments at LAC+USC Medical Center and the USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. His research focuses on cancer biology, molecular pathology, and genetic epidemiology, particularly in colorectal cancer evolution, epigenetic mechanisms, and stem cell biology. Dr. Shibata’s work integrates computational approaches, epigenetic analysis, and genetic modeling to understand tumor heterogeneity and therapeutic resistance.
